When illness or disability makes leaving the house impossible, integrative and alternative health care services can be very difficult or expensive to access - if they are even available.
In addition to the health consequences for the patient, the primary caregiver's condition can also be negatively impacted by the demands of in-home care. Any effective in-home treatment program must target the needs of both the patient and the caregiver who is sharing so much for the benefit of a loved one.
With the help of our generous supporters, Free Range Health improves the lives of these families by bringing our services to their homes. We call these our Free Range Days, and we seek to partner with hospice and home health organizations to find the individuals who are most in need of these valuable services.
On Free Range Days, a team of providers will travel to homebound patients and provide treatments to the patient and the primary caregiver. It is often the case that these patients are surrounded by family and friends coming and going throughout the day. If other people in the home would also like to be treated, our providers are happy to be of service. This turns the home into a hub of health care as people are able to relax and experience the benefits of our services at a time and place that is convenient for them.
